IS EVERY WEEK THE SAME SCHEDULE?
No, we try to mix the weeks up. We do this because we know that schedules change, and sometimes you can’t make it in. So we change the weekly schedule each week to ensure you have the chance to experience all the classes Versa Fitness offers.
WHAT EXERCISES WILL I BE DOING WITH A BARBELL?
We use the barbell for basic movements such as deadlifts, squats, and pressing. We will also progress people to the barbell. We will never have someone use a barbell whom is not prepared for it. We will properly progress people to the point that the barbell is safe for them to use!
WILL BE LIFTING HEAVY?
During the class we will never “max out”. We focus on rep ranges from 5-15 repetitions in our Versa Strong classes, and many of the classes are time based. We do encourage members to find a weight that is challenging to ensure members are getting the proper stimulus to adapt and receive all the health benefits resistance training offers.
WHAT IF I HAVE NEVER WORKED OUT BEFORE AND DON'T KNOW WHERE TO START?
The great thing is that we have built a staff that will point you in the right direction. One of the main qualifications we look for in coaches is being able to adapt workouts to fit any fitness levels. We have progressions and regressions for every exercise which allows us to build a program fitted for anyone.
DO YOU PROVIDE SHOWERS?
DO I HAVE TO SIGN UP FOR CLASSES?
Yes, we do require that you sign up for classes. This allows us to properly staff the classes and prepare the studio properly. It is also a great way to increase adherence! We limit the classes to 40 members.
I HAVE GOTTEN HURT AT OTHER GYMS, WHAT MAKES VERSA FITNESS DIFFERENT?
We understand that injury is one of the main concerns every person has when joining an exercise program. Warm up is crucial to reducing injury which is why you take the warm up very serious. You will be doing exercises in our warm up that mimic physical therapy exercises to reduce the chance of injury.
CAN I WORK OUT WHILE CLASSES ARE GOING ON?
We do not allow members to do their own workouts while classes are being held. This can be distracting for the coach and cause us to run short on equipment. We hold open gyms on special occasions for members to complete their own workouts.
